Great local dining! I had the pork chop and it was a VERY large cut and tasted awesome. The staff was very friendly too. It was busy on a Wednesday night too so that is usually a good sign!

Friendly service. Good atmosphere. Tasty food. What's not to like? Be prepared if you order the pork tenderloin. It's pretty big!!

A very nice restaurant with a bar. Full service and about three dozen liquors available. Prices are not cheap, about 20 a head not including alcohol. The food is worth it and the atmosphere is top notch.

Stopped at Gasthaus after a band concert at the school. We walked in picked a place to sit. We were waited on. Got our drinks and put in a food order. Asked if the waffle fries were seasoned as read on here. She told us yes. We were still wanting to meet the famous Barb. We didn't know it but, it was our waitress. I asked if she was the famous Barb. She said yes. What a delight she was. Food was great and Barb made the experience the best. We will drive the 2 hours to come back! Dont ever drive by Cherokee without trying this place.

Great burgers, friendly wait staff and adequate bar. Besides burgers the menu has something for everyone's appetite. The walls are covered with photos, license plates and enough artifacts to spark memories and conversation. I love this place, and I'm sure you will too.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Wanted to eat there on a Thursday night, the place was packed. We were ok with waiting. But we got overlooked many many times for larger groups. There were only two of us and they ignored us completely. We asked several times for a table but were ignored. Kept being told there were other people that needed a table. I haven't eaten at this place in many years. And now I remember why. We ended up leaving. I won't go there again.

Ordered a ribeye steak for dinner and it was cooked to perfection. Best steak's and coldest beer's in town. Five stars are not enough for what you get here. I highly recommend eating here.

My food was not very good the day I had chicken Alfredo. It was cold and no real taste.

Great food and great service. Loved the appetizer with pretzel bites and cheese. I will be back to eat here if in town. Decor was neat also.

We stop every Memorial Day weekend while visiting our lost loved ones. Food and service is always excellent. Would recommend everyone stop and have a meal with them.

Not much has changed since it was my favorite hangout in high school 25 year ago. That's a good thing. Holy cow with seasoned waffle fries still on the menu.

Just got home from having supper at the Gasthaus in Cherokee.What a great time, the sirloin steak was done to perfection.The waitress however ! well what can we say about Barb???She made our night .Fun, likes to joke with you and have a good time.We will definitely be back, and hopefully Barb will be working.Wonderful night out, thanks Barb.

Love LOVE this place. Great for a Saturday night of Prime Rib and a cold Guinness. The decor is full of local history and the staff is awesome.

My coworker and I were in Cherokee for work and tried the Gasthaus for a late lunch. The waitress was very nice, the service great. The food came quickly and was excellent. Also the cheesecake was super. Will stop there again when in town.

Small town bar and grill with a big reputation for good food. Had an excellent ribeye steak with a generous portion of fries on the side. As a visitor I knew the food had to be good based on the number of people waiting for a table. The wait was short and service was long on friendly.

It was very busy. The wait staff was did their best to accommodate everyone. We had several mistakes in our parties' orders. Will try again when it isn't quit as busy. The food was good, however.
